As we reflect back on 2021 at Total Restoration Services, we are thankful. Thankful for amazing customers, strengthened relationships and the health of our employees.  It was an excellent year of growth – both for business and for our staff. We maneuvered through a multitude of restrictions, public health orders and other obstacles. We came through it as leaders in our community and in the restoration industry. We are grateful for the support and patience of our communities while we navigated these never-ending changes to pandemic policies and procedures.

As we always like to reflect on the positive, here are some of our 2021 highlights.

We saw several promotions within our company. Also several new hires who have found their calling. We added many new fun staff focused initiatives like “Employee of the Week” contest, our very own “Punch a Bunch” game and an abundance of team-building opportunities such as golf tournaments, pool tournaments and bowling tournaments. Of course all of this was in addition to our monthly staff appreciation luncheons, birthday and work anniversary acknowledgements. Prizes, gift cards, swag and a “Thank you” were appreciated by every single staff member last year.   On an important note, we added an Employee Assistance Program to our list of benefits – access to confidential  counselling services for the Total Team and their families. We put mental health first at Total Restoration.

We continued to invest in our community through monetary donations to several not for profits. JCI Penticton, Starfish Pack Program, Penticton Indian Band, Chamber of Commerce,  SOWINS, and many others. In addition we gave out hundreds of gift baskets to fundraisers in all of the communities we serve – Keremeos, Princeton, Hedley, Oliver, Osoyoos, Summerland, Naramata, OK Falls and Kaleden.
We supported local restaurants during the “take-out only” closure. We cleaned up Ellis Creek one Saturday afternoon with Ideal Enery Solutions. We did outreach and gave donations to Keep The Cold Off Penticton. We hosted a Chamber of Commerce Business After Business for fellow chamber members and we were the Title Sponsor for a 2nd year at the Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards. We participated in 2 food drives – JCI and Eagles. We dressed up and handed out candy with Kiwanis at Safety Village this Halloween. We supported 2 families by gifting them with a full Christmas dinner.

In the world of fires and floods, we were definitely put to the test many times. We saw devastating forest fires in the summer as well as a heat dome that resulted in many air conditioner units malfunctioning and flooding homes and businesses.  We jumped into action in November when the town of Princeton, BC was under water with flooding. Over the holidays we saw extreme freezing temperatures for our area followed by dumps of snow and above freezing temps. This caused frozen pipes to burst when thawed and the result was an inundation of flood calls over the holidays. The Total Team left many family dinners and celebrations to aid those needing our assistance.

We truly are blessed to have so many great moments to reflect back on in 2021. One of the largest blessing of all was when our community recognized us for our efforts. We were the winner of the “2021 Business of the Year” award at the Business Excellence Awards. We were awarded with a standing ovation from 300 of our fellow business friends and dignitaries. It's true what they say. Hard work pays off. Our repeat customers, daily referrals and countless client testimonials are a tell-tale that we are on the right track. A shiny plaque to display in our office is just the icing on the cake.

We will continue to deliver impeccable customer service, outstanding workmanship, a workplace culture that shines through in everything we do. All while investing in the communities who keep us doing what we do best!

Here’s to a fantastic year in 2022!
