2020 has been a strange year for everyone. In the world of restoration, things have not slowed down for us. Fires, floods and wind storms don't stop just because we are in the middle of a pandemic. Lucky for us, Handling of hazourdous materials and PPE (personal protective equipment) have always been a part of our work day. Proper deep cleaning and taking every single safety measure to ensure our staff and customers stay safe, is all part of a day's work.
The Total team felt blessed to still be working and we were finding it hard to watch the rest of our community struggle. So we decided it was time to do something to give back to those who were doing extraordinary things during extraordinary times. In July we launched a "Summer Sizzler" contest to honor those people and choose one deserving individual. We received over 700 entries. It was heartwarming to read through those people who nominated their friends, family and complete strangers. On July 22nd, we surprised Diane, Ron and Joan Mason with a cooler full of beverages and $500 in gift certificates and prizes for T-Bones Penticton so that they can sit back and enjoy a back yard BBQ themselves after doing so much for others. We loved this process so much that we decided to launch ONE MORE contest. This time, we want to recognize another fellow business for the pivoting they have done during covid.
